What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program used by thousands of independently-owned gyms worldwide. It is a functional fitness program where you will not find any treadmills and stationary weight machines – instead, you’ll find pull-up bars, barbells, kettlebells and wide open spaces for squatting, running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing. CrossFit workouts are comprised of exercises that mimic everyday movements and life situations – moving your body the way it is built to operate. The daily WOD (workout of the day) will keep your body holistically fit and your mind stimulated - constantly varied so you won't get bored.

CrossFit programs are developed for scalability, allowing people of any fitness level and experience to participate. Everyone – seniors, adults, older kids and teens – follows the same general program, simply modifying load and intensity based on individual ability. CrossFit is enjoyed by elite athletes, beginners, and everyone in between.

Many say they look forward to working out, and are disappointed when it's their rest day. It's addictive! CrossFit is a community based exercise program where other members support and encourage each other. Qualified coaches will instruct you on how to do the exercises properly.
